Today we head back from Paris. It has been a whirlwind past few weeks and I can’t believe my marathon of travels is almost over. I’m home for a little under two weeks and then I’m back to Mexico with B and family/friends over Memorial Day weekend. You better believe I’m using these next two weeks to just relax, recharge and maybe do a little shopping.
Speaking of Mexico, I still can’t believe I was in Mexico City just over a week ago. It seems like AGES away. I’m still working on my Mexico City Travel Diary which will hopefully be done but tomorrow or Thursday (stay tuned!) but in the meantime, I thought I’d share one of my absolute favorite looks from the trip.
I mentioned in this IG post that I had been literally waiting the entire trip to take this exact shot. I wasn’t exaggerating. As soon as we booked our flights, I immediately started searching for the perfect dresses to bring to CDMX. I wanted bold colors, fun prints, girly details and lots of off the shoulder numbers. I kid you not – I think this was the first dress I saw on ASOS and I immediately added it to my cart and checked out.
I couldn’t be more obsessed with the colors. I never thought I’d be a fan of pink, yellow and back but it all just works. The dramatic sleeves and ruffled hem are to die for. And I mean, it goes goes SO perfectly with the checked floors as Castillo de Chapultepec. This castle was one of the last places we visited in Mexico City and it was absolutely breathtaking. The trek to the top was pretty brutal but so worth it once we entered through the gates. The view of the city is like none other and the intricacy and elegance throughout the castle just blew my mind. So gorgeous. This dress was the perfect stunner for the perfect backdrop.
